2018-2019 Thunder Graduates

The Drayton Valley Thunder would like to thank our 2018-2019 Graduating Thunder Players, #1 Luke Lush, #10 James Orban, #20 Tanner Foster, #22 Jeff Waronek, and #28 Zach Aston for all the leadership, dedication and goodwill that you have brought to the team during your time in Drayton Valley.

James Orban has been an integral part of the Thunder since coming over this year. He has been a leader both on and off the ice for the team and was named as a co-captain. Previously, James played four years with the Olds Grizzlys organization. He has put up 47 points in 58 games this season and is leaned on as an all-situational player.

Tanner Foster came into Drayton Valley this year having played his last two seasons with the Whitecourt Wolverines. Like, Orban, Tanner is a co-captain of the Thunder. Foster has put up 17 points in 47 games this season and just played in his 150th career AJHL game tonight! Congratulations on this milestone Tanner!

Jeff Waronek has contributed his time both on and off the ice to Drayton Valley these past three seasons. Jeff's veteran presence has been of great value in the room. He has been relied upon as versatile player, taking on both forward and defensive responsibilities.

Zach Aston is another one of our valued leaders. Zach has been a key defenseman for the Thunder and amassed an impressive AJHL career of 144 regular season games. Prior to coming to play for the Thunder, Zach suited up for the Bonnyville Pontiacs organization.

Luke Lush was the recipient of this season’s AJHL Top Goaltender Award and has been an essential contributor to the team's success this year. Luke suited up for 71 career AJHL games, 30 of which came with Camrose before coming to Drayton Valley this year.

On behalf of the team and community, we wish you the best in your future endeavours!
