Foster to suit up for 150th AJHL Game

As Tanner Foster steps onto the ice tonight in the last Thunder regular season game of 2018/2019, he will be joining the AJHL’s 150-game club. The 20-year-old defender played the previous two seasons with the Whitecourt Wolverines before joining the Drayton Valley Thunder this season. Tanner has been a special asset to the Thunder bringing a veteran presence to the team and being a part of the leadership group as a co-captain. In Foster’s first 149 games in the AJHL, he has amassed 64 points (9 goals, 55 assists) and 78 penalty minutes. We wish Tanner the best of luck tonight, the playoffs and beyond as he is one of the Thunder’s graduating players this year.

The Drayton Valley Thunder cap off the regular season tonight at the Omniplex vs. the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Game time is 7:30pm. See you there!

The next Thunder home game is game 3 of the playoffs on Sunday, March 10th at 6:30pm. Opponent is to be determined.
