The Drayton Valley Thunder announced today the resignation of Head Coach Ryan Rechner and GM Joey Bouchard. We would like to thank them for their efforts during this transitional season and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Work is underway to hire a new Head Coach and General Manager. We are optimistic that we will have an exciting and qualified candidate in place very soon.
Finishing last in the league is something we take seriously. The Drayton Valley Thunder is committed to building a franchise with a winning tradition and culture. We know this takes time! We are pleased with the skilled and dedicated young players we have been able to recruit this year. We will continue our efforts to ensure we have a winning culture that is a source of pride for our fans and supporters. A culture that focuses on overcoming adversity, putting team before self interests, a culture that ensures the best players want to play in Drayton Valley.
That work continues with our Spring Camp March 23-25, 2018 in Drayton Valley. We hope you come out to check out the future stars of the AJHL.
