SAT Prep has begun for Thunder but they aren't alone. DV Thunder would like to thank volunteers English Teacher Darlene Negraiff, Educational Assistant Marjorie Horn, Educational Assistant Kathy Matlock, and Math Teacher Trevor Nickle who will be meeting with the players every Monday evening for the season to help them prepare for their SAT exams. For those who do not know what an SAT is, it is a globally recognized college admission test that lets you show colleges what you know and how well you can apply that knowledge. It tests your knowledge of reading, writing and math — subjects that are taught every day in high school classrooms. The mark they get from this is information scouts and coaches in the USA need to determine if the players have the skills required for entry into their college or university should they what them to play on their hockey team.
