Signing Alert!
The Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are proud to announce that 04 Goaltender Jari Kykkanen has signed a Letter of Intent for the 2021/22 season.
The 6’3″ Lloydminster product played last season for the U16 AAA Bobcats posting a 2.48 GA and .920 SAV%. Jari is currently playing for Yale Hockey Academy Midget U18 Prep in Abbotsford BC where they are currently not eligible to play games due to Covid restrictions. Jari will continue practicing and attending classes at Yale for the remainder of his junior year.
Coach Thurston had this to say about the signing “This signing strengthens our foundation in net moving into next season. Jari comes with high praise from our goalie coach Cody Hryniw and were looking forward to seeing his continued development at Yale.”
