Jakubowski Chalks Up First Hat Trick

Congratulations Thunder!! They have brought home two out of four points in their run down south and have also moved up a level in the north division. Our team also lead the score board throughout the entire game tonight against Drumheller despite a mile long list of penalties that were dished out for both sides. Luckily Thunder was able to capitalize on a couple of the power plays where Drumheller did not. The scoring started with #12 Braden Jakubowski sending one between the pipes after being fed the puck from #17 Trevor Poirier. But it wasn't until the second and third periods that the pot really got stirred up. Right off the bat #27 Adam Moghrabi got his first of the season making it 2-1. Then at one point, Thunder had a 5 on 3 opportunity and then shortly after it was the reverse. At another point, we had five players in the penalty box which allowed Drum one last goal but it wasn't enough to undo the hat trick that Braden Jakubowski chalked up by the end of the second period. There was no doubt that with this hat trick that he would be named Away Star of the Game in this 4-2 win and the first hat trick of the season for Thunder. Congrats Braden!! Keep'r rolling Thunder all the way up to Whitecourt when you meet the Wolverines on Saturday Nov 16!!
