Willcox commits to Royal Military College…

The Drayton Valley Thunder are proud to announce that 20-year-old, Rhett Willcox, has committed to the Royal Military College and will play for the Paladins for the 2017-18 season.  The RMC Paladins are a member of the OUA Eastern Division (CIS).  Rhett joined the Thunder for the 2016-17 season from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.  While with the Thunder, Rhett has played in 54 games, amassing 17 goals and 38 assists for 55 points and 80 PIMS while leading the Thunder in team scoring.

“Adding Rhett to our lineup, gave us a veteran forward with scoring touch, which is always a key factor in winning hockey games,” stated Thunder Sales and Marketing Manager Shaun Collard. “Rhett has that ability to make a great pass or score a timely goal.  We thank Rhett for his time here with the Thunder, and wish him continued success in his future.”

The Thunder organization would like to congratulate Rhett and his family on this step in his career, and wish him continued success moving forward, both athletically and academically.

Rhett Willcox is the 4th Thunder player to commit to a post secondary institution this season.
