The Drayton Valley Thunder didn't take to the ice on Monday November 18th, however they did play hockey of a different kind, floor hockey, their opponent, Evergreen Elementary's best and brightest.
Students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 participated in a fun day of floor hockey against the Thunder boys. Adam Moghrabi and Jamie Waddington strapped on the pads and faced a barrage of shots throughout the day, giving current netminders Marc-Olivier Daigle and Mitch Martell a run for the starting job this weekend!!
Other Thunder players involved were captain Corey Scammon, Ty Bettac, Dylan Bredahl, Doug Morris, Nathan Smith, Ryley Rimmer and Nathan Deyell.
The boys had fun but fell short on the scoreboard to the students.
