The Drayton Valley Thunder are proud to announce the Signing of ’03 Defenceman Luke Roberts.
Roberts, has spent the last 3 years in the BCHL split between the Surrey Eagles and Coquitlam Express. In 110 total games in BC the West Vancouver native scored 4 goals and 18 assists for 22 points.
Head Coach and GM Geoff Walker had the following to say after signing the veteran defenceman. “It was clear in preseason we needed to sure up our back end. We feel with Luke playing over a hundred games in the BCHL he checks a lot of the boxes we were looking for. He’s a very good skater, defender, puck mover and leader who will be relied upon heavily along with some other pieces to stabilize our D core.”
We’d like to Welcome Luke to the Thunder family. Catch the season home opener this Friday, September 15th at 7pm as we take on the Brooks Bandits.
