It is with both pride and regret that we announce the departure of our head coach and general manager.
Jeff Shantz has accepted a development coaching position with NHL Arizona Coyotes and will join their training camp in mid-September.
Jeff is an outstanding coach and an even better person. Although he led our hockey club only briefly, his impact was felt and he will always be part of our Thunder Family.
We thank Jeff for his service and wish both he and his family much continued success as their lifelong hockey journey leads them back once again to the NHL. Sean Brown has assumed all head coach and General Manager duties for the Thunder, and has begun our search for Jeff’s replacement.
