Yale Commitment Henry Wagner Acquired By The Thunder

It was a busy week in the Thunder front offices as the management and coaching staff have worked hard to balance the roster amidst flurry of injuries to the forward group.   St. Louis born 18-year-old Henry Wagner was acquired from the Prince George Spruce Kings of the BCHL. Wagner, a US born player, joins Jesse Pomeroy on the roster as a player committed to play Division 1 NCAA hockey.  Wagner will suit up in the 2021-22 season for Yale University.  Henry has a history of being able to produce offensively; however, his ability to play on both ends of the rink is what caught the eye of the (Thunder) staff.
Despite the tough spot, the Thunder staff are ecstatic about how the moves ended up, ?When your players are put in a tough spot, you tell them just to keep moving forward and work their way out of it.  The same applies to us (staff).  We are ecstatic about the players we brought in as a result, and more excited thinking forward when we can add our already established players who are rehabilitating, to these acquisitions?, said Assistant GM and Associate Coach Bill Rotheisler.  ?We had something they (Prince George) wanted (a WHL asset that never suited up for the Thunder), and we stayed pretty firm on the quality of player we wanted in return.  Once Wagner?s name started being discussed, we knew we would be finalizing the deal pretty quick?.
Henry will be suiting up for his first game with the Thunder tonight vs. Fort McMurray Oil Barons, wearing number 20.
