The Drayton Valley Thunder announced today, that Mike Mueller, has been relieved of his duties as Head Coach and General Manager, effective February 24th. “We wish Mike all the best in his future endeavours,” stated Team Governor Jack Beelby.
In June 2009, Mueller was appointed to the position of Assistant Coach. Following the resignation of Head Coach Fran Gow in 2013, Mueller took over the team as Head Coach and General Manager. Under Mueller's three-year reign, the team went 68-87-21 and qualified for the AJHL Playoffs each season.
Ryan Allen has been named interim Head Coach.
