Drayton Valley Thunder is on a two-day road trip with the first stop in Fort McMurray today. They just completed this first game against the Oil Barons in overtime. #24 Matt McNeil was the king of the game with his two goals of the evening. His first goal from #8 Austin Yaremchuk and #4 Zach Sherburne tied the game in the second period. The score stayed 1-1 for the remainder of the game taking it into OT. With just 2:11 into the overtime, while Matt was being drugged down, he took a hard wrist shot from the side with enough force that the puck slipped passed the goalie and trickled into the net to seal the deal with 2-1 for Thunder. Tomorrow our Drayton Valley Thunder will travel east to take on the Bonnyville Pontiacs.
