#33 Mitch Maraschiello had the honors of being titled Home Star in the match against Spruce Grove Saints. Mitch stood on his head earning his second shut out of the season saving 38 shots on net. Besides the highlight of Mitch’s shutout, the team in front of him had a superior game as well. When #12 Mason Malkowich tipped the puck into the net with 2:15 left in overtime Thunder players and fans celebrated the 1-0 win. Three solid periods were played by all. Keep it going Thunder. Next two games are out of town. First is against Spruce Grove again, on Saturday, and if Thunder fans plan to go there to watch, the puck drops at 7:00 rather than our usual 7:30 time. Note that Sunday’s game in Sherwood starts at 2:15 as well. Thunder will be back in action at home on Friday Feb 15 and Saturday Feb 16 in a double header against Lloydminster so bring on the GREEN to support our team. See you there.
