Press Release: Orban Commits to UBC
Drayton Valley Thunder are excited to announce that 21-year-old James Orban has committed to the University of British Columbia where he will be playing with the Thunderbirds for the 2019-2020 season.
In 2018-2019, James totalled 18 goals, 30 assists and 50 penalty minutes and earned the Most Dedicated Award in his last season with the Drayton Valley Thunder. Coach Eric Thurston stated that James will be a great attribute to the Thunderbirds as he is huge on the ice as well as in the dressing room. He will be greatly missed. Thurston is happy and proud that James is moving on to the next level to play in a great program such as the UBC Thunderbirds.
Besides congratulating James Orban, we would also like to extend a congratulations to the Orban family with this accomplishment and wish James continued success in college hockey with the Thunderbirds.
