The Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey is pleased to announce the signing of 2003 born defensemen Ethan Casper.
The 6’1 Calgary product is the captain of the Calgary Northstars U18 AAA team and will be a welcome addition to the Thunder lineup.
Associate Coach and General Manager Matt Keillor had this to say about the signing. “Casper plays the game as old school as it gets these days. He plays his position with a bit of nastiness and a level of grit that is hard to find. When we watched his shifts, I could tell he is a defenseman that makes guys pay the price if they want to get to the net. Casper had really good offensive numbers in the U16 AAA league a few seasons ago and that is a good indication of what he’s capable of against his age group. I feel Casper will develop into a very well-balanced AJHL defender on both sides of the puck and will add a dimension to our D core that instantly makes our team better.”
