The Drayton Valley Thunder Junior “A” Hockey Association is pleased to announce that Jesse Dorrans has been named Head Coach and General Manager of the Thunder.
Jesse Dorrans comes highly recommend by various NCAA coaches and Junior A programs. Coach Dorrans executes an upbeat tempo of play and requires his players to be competitive and physical. He believes life skills are just as important as hockey skills when it comes to building and shaping character.
His previous team, the Castlegar Rebels, was highly regarded as one of the best teams in the KIJHL with a record of 84-57-6. Coach Dorrans has advanced several players onto various Junior A and University/College hockey opportunities.
Coming from a community owned program like the Castlegar Rebels, Coach Dorrans knows the importance of getting the players involved in the community and leaving a positive impression on its various members.
