In Thunder’s 4-1 loss against Whitecourt last night, it was a game filled with penalties that didn’t do Thunder any good. One of the only real positives that game out of the game was Thunder’s only goal that foiled Whitecourt’s shutout. The goal came when #27 Frederic Tanguay worked his magic getting the puck up to the blue line where #4 Tyler Hart passed it off to #12 Mason Malkowich who then fed the puck across to the center. Waiting there was #20 Eric Sieben who got a hold of the puck, and then just at the right moment as both Tyler and Mason screened the goalie, Eric let it go. From the middle of the ice, Eric fed it up and over his goalie’s glove hand as he never saw it coming. The other positive was that both goalies should have been named Star for each team with approxiamently 40 shots on net for each but only our goalie was recognized. Congratulations to #1 Marc Olivier Daigle for a stellar performance in net.
