Waddington Commits to Simon Fraser University

The Drayton Valley Thunder are pleased to announce that Jamie Waddington has committed to play at Simon Fraser University of the BCIHL.
In 104 games played with the Thunder Waddington put up 28 goals and 26 assists. Prior to playing with the Thunder Jamie spent one season playing for the Cowichan Capitals of the BCHL.
After careful consideration of several opportunities Jamie chose SFU as it fit his academic and hockey needs going forward. Waddy was a well-respected member of our team and in the Drayton Valley community, and is a great ambassador of our program, noted Head Coach/GM Mike Mueller. On behalf of the Drayton Valley Thunder organization we wish him the very best in his next chapter of life as a student/athlete.
Waddington is the second member of the 2014/15 roster to commit to a post-secondary school and stay tuned as the Thunder will be shortly announcing more commitments from their 2014/15 roster.
