The Drayton Valley Thunder of the Alberta Junior Hockey League is excited to announce the signings of ’05 forward Harper LoLacher and ’04 defenceman Matthew Gallant.
LoLacher, a native of Pilot Butte, SK comes to the Thunder after playing 2 seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) splitting his time between the Moose Jaw Warriors playing 88 games and the Regina Pats playing a total of 9 games. Over Harper’s 2 seasons in the WHL he accumulated a total of 20 pts (12G, 8A).
Gallant, an ’04 defenceman from Langley, BC, started his WHL career playing for the Moose Jaw Warriors from 2021 to the 2023/24 season. While in Moose Jaw Matthew tallied 33 points (7G, 26A) in 131 regular season games. In 2023/24 he was then traded to the Edmonton Oil kings where he accumulated 14 points (1G,13A) in 45 games.
The Drayton Valley Thunder would like to welcome Harper, Matthew and their families to Drayton Valley. Watch for them in the line up when we have 2 home games this weekend. Saturday, October 5th at 7pm against the Drumheller Dragons and Sunday, October 6th at 4pm against the Canmore Eagles.
