The Drayton Valley Thunder on Monday went back to Evergreen Elementary to take on their finest in another editon of floor hockey. It was time the Thunder struck with the win, but the 1-6 graders took it to them once again.
Jamie Waddington went in net for the Thunder stopping 107 of 140 shots in the first 2 games, a bombardment from Evergreen. Adam Moghrabi and Connor Vermeulen didn't fair much better in the net, only stopping 210 of 261 shots combined.
The Thunder will move on from the defeat and hopefully look to take back the series next year from Evergreen and Aurora Elementary schools. They did a great job and the Thunder look forward to working with the schools in the near future.
