Thunder Announces Addition Of Brandon Iwaschuk

Drayton Valley Alberta – The Drayton Valley Thunder is pleased to announce the addition of Braydon Iwaschuck to the 2018-19 roster. Braydon has been acquired from Northern Alberta X-Treme Prep and comes with experience in the AJHL after having played 6 games with the Thunder during the 2017-18 season.

Braydon, a 6’0 2001 born forward from Spruce Grove, Alberta played 2 seasons and 32 games in the CSSHL with Northern Alberta X-Treme Prep. Most recently, Braydon helped the X-Treme take home the Canadian Sport School Hockey League Midget Prep Division Championship at the end of the 2017-18 season.

“Brayden is a player with great character who does all the little things very well,” said new Head Coach and General Manager, Eric Thurston. “He plays strong along the boards, blocks shots, competes in all 3 zones, and overall has great potential.” 

Braydon is excited to join the Thunder this upcoming season. He looks forward to the new opportunities that playing with the Thunder organization will bring to his future as an athlete. He describes himself as a power forward.
