Thunder Alumni have change of scenery

Two of the most coveted Thunder alumni have been beneficiaries of the current NHL free agent frenzy! Both Nick Tarnasky and Clarke MacArthur will have new fans to entertain this upcoming season after becoming unrestricted free agents and testing the market.
MacArthur spent the last three seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, amassing 125 points in 195 games for the buds. Clarke usually played on the second line for the Leafs and was instrumental in their playoff run this season. Clarke now makes the short journey over to the Ottawa Senators after signing a 2 year contract. The Thunder hope Clarke has a great season with the Senators and wish him the best of luck during this new contract.
Tarnasky has not seen NHL action since the 2009-10 season when he was with the Florida Panthers. Since that season Nick has played full seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL) putting up good numbers for the Rochester Americans and Springfield Falcons. Nick became an unrestricted free agent on Friday, and on Saturday the Montreal Canadiens added the gritty forward by signing Nick to a 2-way 1 year contract. Nick will either play for the Canadiens this season, or for the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL, either way we wish Nick and his family the best of luck in Montreal.
