The Drayton Valley Thunder are thrilled to announce the acquisition of 2006 born defenseman Keston Beagle from the Canmore Eagles. Beagle was acquired earlier this month in a trade that sent 2005 born defenseman Reid Larson to Canmore.
The Thunder extend a warm welcome to Keston and his family who hail from just down the road in Rimbey, AB, and look forward to his contributions on the ice this season.
Beagle brings a much-needed physical edge to the game, an element the team has been actively seeking. In the 2024-25 regular season with the Canmore Eagles, Keston played in 42 games, tallying 2 goals and 6 assists for 8 points, along with 63 penalty minutes.
“We are very excited to welcome Keston to the Thunder,” said General Manager and Head Coach Jeff Truitt. “He brings a strong work ethic, a desire to compete, and has some toughness in his game that we have identified as an area we want to improve in. We believe he will be a valuable addition to our defense this coming season.”
