The Drayton Valley Thunder Jr. A Hockey Club is accepting applications for Assistant Coach for the 2017 – 2018 Season
The successful applicant must be self-motivated with good communication and organizational skills. This person must be able to work well both independently and in a team environment.
Under the direct supervision of the Drayton Valley Thunder Head Coach, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Work with Head Coach to mentor players to enhance a culture of development and achievement;
- Assist the Head Coach with game and develop practices plans and implement systems and game concepts;
- Participate in off ice training program; video analysis and game breakdown;
- All other duties as required.
The successful candidate must be able to pay attention to details and follow through on commitments; must possess a strong work ethic; must be willing to travel and manage team scheduled games and off ice activities.
This is an excellent opportunity with a great organization for a candidate who wants to advance their coaching career. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
