The Omniplex was packed for todays 1st Annual Hockey Hooky. We had an amazing loud cheering crowd of 989 fans in the stands, the Thunder fought until the bitter end but came up short 4-3 to the Whitecourt Wolverines.
Thank you to everyone who came out and braved the chilly weather and to the schools who attended today. Aurora Elementary, St. Anthonys School, HWP, DCS, LHVS, DV Home School group. Unfortunately Breton School was unable to make it, but we still want to give them a shout out as well!
Thank you to Waseem and his crew at MR MIKES for all the delicious burgers for the kids today as well as Panago Pizza for those who had allergies. The Drayton Valley Concession for all the drinks. Thank you to Mr Mikes, Dairy Queen Drayton Valley, Jackie’s and McDonalds for the gifts and gift cards donated for todays intermission games.
