Saturday's game against Spruce Grove Saints did not have the same results as it did when Thunder won against the Saints on February 5th. This time it was the Saints who come out on top in the 4-1 game. This match did start out similar to the last in that the first period went scoreless and the second period too remained scoreless until the last 5 minutes. It looked like there was a possibility of a shutout again but Spruce scored two within minutes of each other and dashed those thoughts. Then minutes later Thunder foiled any chances of Spruce getting a shutout with a buzzer beater. With one second left at the end of the second, after being set up by #27 Frederic Tanguay, #9 Brendan McKay snapped one past Spruce's goal tender earning himself the crown of Away Star. Congrats Brendan. Keep the points coming.
