On March 9th in the playoffs, it was with heavy hearts, that our Drayton Valley Thunder players saluted the crowd with sticks held high to officially end the 2013-2014 season. It was a salute of thanks to our fabulous volunteers (game day as well as the directors) for their countless hours of work and dedication. It was a salute to the faithful fans that hung in there through bad times and good and attended as many games as they could. It was a salute to the parents who continued to give encouragement and support throughout the entire season. It was a salute to the billet parents who opened their homes and hearts making the players feel at home so they could focus on their job at hand. It was a salute to the sponsors whose financial support kept the ice under the blades, wheels rolling on the bus, food in the bellies and a warm bed at night. Enough cannot be said to these five groups but thank you again. We look forward to seeing all of you again in the next season and having your continued support. THANK YOU!!
