The Drayton Valley Thunder regret to announce that Head Coach and General Manager Eric Thurston will be leaving the organization.
The Thunder are incredibly grateful for all the work that Eric has done over the past 4 seasons to rebuild the program, taking the team from last place to fourth and then playing for the North Division Final. Eric worked tirelessly during his term for the betterment of the program, both on and off the ice. He has been a coach and mentor to the young Thunder men who have had the opportunity to play for him over the past 4 years, positively influencing their lives.
We wish Eric continued success in all of his future endeavors.
Eric has agreed to assist the team during the transition phase while the Thunder begins its search for a suitable replacement.
