The Drayton Valley Thunder would like to congratulate the Northern Selects U18AAA hockey team on bringing home the 2022 Oskana Aboriginal Youth Hockey Championship.
The Thunder had the opportunity this last weekend to sponsor the Northern Selects as they headed off on “Monte’s Express” to Regina, Saskatchewan May 6-8th.
The Selects were comprised of some of the top indigenous players in Western Canada, including several current WHL, AJHL, and CSSHL stars, including Dwayne Jean Jr., Keaton Dowhaniuk, Deagan McMIllan, Mason Franz, Josh Davies, Cade Christenson, & Thunder prospect Lexton Grey.
