Drayton Valley Thunder goaltender, Kris Drott, is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the final week of 2013. Drott posted a 2-0 record, including one shutout victory, and turned away 79 of 80 shots for a 0.5 GAA.
Kris Drott (Edmonton, AB) was selected as the Pro Hockey Life Player of the Game in both Thunder victories last week. The Drayton Valley Thunder defeated the top two teams in the AJHL Standings with wins over the 1st place Saints and 2nd place Oil Barons.
Since joining the team in early December, Drott has a record of 3-0-1 and a 1.75 GAA. This is his first AJHL season with the Thunder, following 13 games with the Whitecourt Wolverines in 2012-2013.
Drott is the second Thunder goaltender to be selected as the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week this season. Marc Olivier-Daigle also received the honours in November 2013.
