The Drayton Valley Thunder is very pleased to announce the acquisition of forward Doug Jones from the Fort McMurray Oil Barons.
Jones, a five year AJHL vet brings a bonafide scoring touch to the Thunder with 8 goals in only 16 games. After four seasons with the Drumheller Dragons, the 20-year-old Calgary native joins the Thunder as part of a last minute deal on yesterdayâ??s trade deadline.
Jones will join new teammate and AJHL player of the week Frederic Tanguay and the rest of the Thunder as they try to extend their team-record six-game win-streak down south for weekend set into Calgary, Canmore and Okotoks.
