Job Opportunity: Equipment Manager

The Drayton Valley Thunder (AJHL) are seeking a reliable and organized Equipment Manager for the
2025–26 season. As a key member of our hockey operations staff, you’ll help ensure our players
and coaches have everything they need to operate at the highest level. This is a vital behind-the scenes
role for someone passionate about the game and committed to team success.

As the team’s Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of team gear
and equipment. This includes ordering and stocking inventory, maintaining and repairing gear,
setting up the dressing room for practices and games, and ensuring all equipment is clean,
organized, and ready to go. You’ll travel with the team, manage team laundry, and be a trusted day to-
day support for players and coaches.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ordering and managing inventory of team gear, apparel, sticks, and supplies

• Organizing and maintaining dressing room setup for practices and games

• Managing skate sharpening, repairs, and custom equipment needs

• Washing and caring for team laundry (jerseys, socks, gear)

• Packing and transporting equipment for all road games

• Working closely with players to ensure proper equipment fit and readiness

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the equipment room and team areas

• Coordinating with suppliers and vendors

• Supporting coaching and training staF with additional day-to-day needs

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work flexible hours. Previous
experience as an equipment manager in hockey or sports is preferred. A strong work ethic, good
communication skills, and a team-first attitude are essential.

Salary will be negotiable based on experience.
