Congratulations to Thunder’s forward #19 Gavin Middendorf for being named the AJHL Inter Pipeline Rookie of the Week!
Gavin Middendorf of the Drayton Valley Thunder is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week. The 2004-born forward registered five points (2G, 3A) during a South Division road trip for the Thunder.
On November 25th, Middendorf recorded his second three-point game of the season with a goal and two assists in an 8-3 win over the Okotoks Oilers to start the three-game South swing. The following night, he scored his 12th goal of the year and added an assist as the Thunder defeated the Calgary Canucks 4-1. The trip concluded with a 5-1 loss in Canmore on November 27th.
Gavin Middendorf (Forest Lake, MN) has 20 points (12G, 8A) in 28 games played during his rookie season and is tied for most game winning goals among rookies with four.
