DRAYTON VALLEY, AB – The Drayton Valley Thunder have completed a trade with the Camrose Kodiaks, acquiring 2006-born forward Will Jamieson in exchange for forward Tucker Tullikopf.
Jamieson, a native of Delburne, brings an offensive skill set and much-needed experience to the Thunder lineup. Jamieson is known for his speed, offensive ability, and for playing a complete 200-foot game. He compiled 10 points (4 Goals and 6 Assists) in 15 games with the Kodiaks last season after spending the prior three seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Spokane Chiefs, Everett Silvertips, and Seattle Thunderbirds. The Thunder organization believes he will be a key contributor for the team in the upcoming season and beyond.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Will to the Thunder family,” said Jeff Truitt, GM & Head Coach. “He’s a talented player who brings a lot of experience. His offensive ability combined with his strong 200-foot game will be a huge asset to our forward group. We expect him to be a key contributor in all areas of the game.”
The Drayton Valley Thunder thank Tucker Tullikopf for his contributions to the team and wish him the best in his future endeavors with the Camrose Kodiaks.
The Thunder’s regular season begins at home on Friday, September 19th, when they host the Olds Grizzlys at the Drayton Valley Omniplex.
