The Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL are pleased to announce that Tyler Blocha from Bonnyville, Alberta has committed to the University of Northern Michigan.
The 6’2″ 185 lbs forward has been gaining lots of interest since coming to the AJHL from U18 AAA hockey. “Tyler’s exceptional speed, skill and his ability to shoot the puck make him a deadly threat every time he’s on the ice”, added Thunder Coach Eric Thurston.
“Northern Michigan has recruited themselves a great player. Tyler has the ability to play both wing and centre and his work ethic will only keep taking his game to the next level,”‘ continued Coach Thurston.
The entire Thunder organization would like to congratulate Tyler and the Blocha family for Tyler’s commitment to Northern Michigan. It’s great to see one of our own have this opportunity. Tyler will be attending Northern Michigan in 2023-2024.
