The Alberta Junior Hockey League today unveiled its brand new online network, the first of its kind in Junior A hockey. The AJHL Network includes all 16 team websites and the league website in a fully integrated online experience. All 17 websites have been redesigned in preparation for the 2012-2013 season, which opens on Friday, September 7th.
AJHL Fans will enjoy a user-friendly and streamlined set of websites across the AJHL, improved navigation, extended statistics, new digital media features, and daily content updates! AJHL Teams will now have the ability to share stories, photos and interactive features amongst the 16 teams and will receive automatic updates from the league website. All team websites will be linked directly to the AJHL Live Online Statistics Program to provide fans with the most recent scores, player profiles and statistics.
The AJHL Network is modeled after the industry’s best – the National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and the National Football League (NFL). The AJHL is a leader in communications and technology across the Junior A community, with innovations such as today’s launch of The AJHL Network, live real-time scoring, and a new digital media partnership with FASTHockey.
AJHL Web TV is available through each site on The AJHL Network. FASTHockey's video platform boasts breathtaking video; instant game archival for on-demand playback; personal video recorder like features including the ability to pause, rewind, or fast forward a live game; user generated instant replays allowing fans to create and save their own highlights, and full social integration.
